Rudraksha Mala

Rudraksha, the term derived out of two Sanskrit terms of Rudra and Aksha, refers to ‘eyes of Lord Shiva’ in its literal meaning. On the basis of its physical property of the number of lines that it holds on its surface, its form is defined. For instance, a bead with one natural line (Mukha) is 1 Mukhi Rudraksha, a bead with two Mukha is 2 Mukhi Rudraksha, and so on. On the same grounds, there are a total of twenty-one forms ranging from 1 Mukhi to 21 Mukhi.

Elements

One prominent use of them is in the form of Rudraksha Mala (rosary). They come in different forms. The first prominent element of their classification is the nature of Rudraksha beads in it, and the second prominent element is of the number of beads in it. Each of these forms is distinctive in itself, both on aspects of its physical properties and astrological properties. Also, the way it is use can also be prominently defined in two ways, one is for wearing, and second is for chanting the Mantra. Astrology principles do not permit and recommend one same Rudraksha Mala to be use for both the stated purposes.

Different Forms

As already stated, the number of beads is one prominent element of a Rudraksha Mala. There are a total of three forms in it, on the basis of that number of beads. They are 108 + 1 beads Mala, 54 + 1 beads Mala, and 27 + 1 beads Mala. Other than them, there are other forms such as 300 beads Mala, 504 beads Mala, 162 beads Mala, 36 beads Mala, 18 beads form, and 9 beads form. Other than them, many other forms with varied number of beads can also be included in it.

These beads are usually string in red sacred thread. Among these, ‘+ 1’ bead is not meant to be used while chanting. It is for the purpose of marking a beginning and an end to the rosary, so that one can easily keep a count of the times a Mantra is chanted. It is astrologically referred as ‘Meru’ or ‘Sadyothama Bija’.

Impact

The impact of a Rudraksha Mala is very much proportional to the form of Rudraksha beads strung in it. Impact, health benefits, and all the other properties as defined for a form of a Rudraksha by astrology are well reflective in the impact that a Rudraksha Mala of the same nature of bead creates on its wearer or possessor. Usually, irrespective of their form, they help in settling positivity, reducing depression, and deriving happiness and peace in the life of its wearers. It enhances one’s reputation in society, gains an appealing personality, and attains success wherever put honest and determined efforts. Also, they are highly recommended to those suffering with blood pressure.

Also, one must ensure to get perfect shaped beads in Rudraksha Mala with no default whatsoever. Also, its authenticity should be well confirmed, as wearing or possessing any fake replica might create severe adverse impacts.
